Backyard Beauty

Okay, here is something that I did not like doing until a few months ago, taking ordinary pictures. For some reason I wanted my pictures to be amazing, exotic landscapes, with birds and everything a photographer wants, but that changed a few months ago when I took a picture of a stream a 1/2 hour away from my house. I was instantly in love with shooting pictures of seemingly uninteresting objects, and making something beautiful out of it. This is the photo I took.

I started taking pictures of my yard, some trees, and flowers, and my photography skills turned into this.

I also give lots of credit to Joel Sartore’s lectures on photography. So take some pictures of your yard, of a flower, or of a tree, and see what you get with a little practice.
