Backyard Beauty

Okay, here is something that I did not like doing until a few months ago, taking ordinary pictures. For some reason I wanted my pictures to be amazing, exotic landscapes, with birds and everything a photographer wants, but that changed a few months ago when I took a picture of a stream a 1/2 hour away from my house. I was instantly in love with shooting pictures of seemingly uninteresting objects, and making something beautiful out of it. This is the photo I took. I started taking pictures of my yard, some… Read More

Landscapes

Landscapes are the pictures that you will usually hang on your wall, or they are usually the things you would find easy to shoot with a camera, and especially a drone. But what if you are having trouble shooting a landscape and making it look good? Well, the reason will probably be the weather, the time, or the landscape you are shooting. If the weather is sunny, and you’re trying to shoot a landscape, unless it’s an urban landscape, forget about shooting a good landscape there. We photographers use the term, “the… Read More

Depth of Field

Depth of Field is a very important thing to remember. Depth of Field is how blurry or how focused your backgrounds, middle-grounds, and foregrounds are. A low F-stop number, such as F4.5, has shallow Depth of Field, which in other words, has a blurry background, and a focused middle. And a higher F-stop number, such as F-20, has a focused background, and really a focused everything! So here are some examples of each type of Depth of Field.

Nature Photography

This article will tell you how to take good nature photography. My main focus will be leafs and flowers. When taking a picture of a flower, first, you need a good aperture and shutter-speed, maybe even a little brighter, depending on the weather. My favorite aperture for nature pictures is F4.5 and F5. That way, if there are sticks in the background, you can blur them out. Do NOT pick the flower or leaf off unless its already in a vase, or you are trying to make someone model with the flower,… Read More

Why Get Another Lens?

Why should you get another lens if you already have one? Well, there are a few reasons. One, What if you don’t like the macro lens that your camera was included with, because you want to get a picture of a bird, but that bird will fly away before you even get close! Telephoto lenses can zoom up tho a subject that is far away, but still has a good focus. And two, it is a good reason to expand your abilities by trying new things.

Apertures and Shutter-Speeds

Apertures and shutter-speeds are vital in photography. Aperture is the size of the hole in the lens, and shutter-speed is how fast the shutter closes and opens. Aperture is a little harder to understand. If you have a camera, but you don’t know how to use the setting quite right, get it and follow my lead. First, you need to switch the dial on the left to M, or Manual. After that, rotate the dial that is located on the back of your camera, on the left side. Rotate it, and you’ll… Read More

If you want to frame them in your home, that would be amazing, just go to the comments and tell me if you want a photo. Please buy some, I will not sue you or anything unless you post them as if you made them.

Supplies You Will Need For Photography

Camera Photography Every photographer needs certain things. You will need a camera and lens (obvs). You will need a handkerchief to wipe the lens off. You will need a backpack if going somewhere the than your own property. You will also need a tripod for stable photos at short shutter speeds. It really depends on how long your shutter speed is, but you can bring a remote control for stability on shutter speeds 5 seconds or more. Drone Photography You will only need a special cord for plugging the RC controller into… Read More

Mavic’s Drones

Mavic is the best drone store you can get. Their drones are high-tech, easy-to-master, fun drones. I own a Mavic Pro, it is a very good drone. It features lots of shooting settings, modes, and more. The best place to fly a drone would be in a pretty landscape without much wind. Also, the video quality is very good. You can change the shutter with the turn of a dial! Here is an example of a Mavic Pro

Nikon and Nikkor Cameras and Camera Lenses

When you buy a camera, the best brand to buy is Nikon. The camera quality s awesome and they have a lot of settings such as ISO auto, aperture priority, shutter-speed priority, and many more. Nikkor lenses are the best lenses out there. There are expensive, but that is actually good. Do not buy cheap lenses, they are cheap for a reason. When storing your Camera, ALWAYS make sure it is inside the case it comes with. Do not let lots of dust collect on the camera, cause’ that ruins it. Once… Read More

How to Use a Drone

I know a lot of people probably already know how to do this, but this website IS kid-friendly. For starters, the left and right joysticks make the drone rotate, go forward, backward, sideways, up, and down. The left joystick controls up, down, and rotation. To rotate, move the left stick sideways. Up is up, and down is down. The right joystick is almost the same. Move the stick in the direction you want to go, and it will go that direction.
